Please note: All the pictures on this page were taken by Rajati Hudaji and she owns their copyright.

For a holiday this year, Rajati visited Myanmar (Burma to us). While she was there she happened to visit an old military cemetery. These are the pictures she took of graves stones on which she noticed the words "Devonshire Regiment". The stones record the deaths of young men who served with the regiment during the 3rd Burma War, which continued some time after some books tell us it had ended.

We think the carvers were probably local Burmese  to whom the English language was unknown territory and we noticed the style of carving letters varied so this is not the work of one man.
