The Argentine Air Force continued to keep up its relentless bombardment of Royal Navy Ships for the remainder of May and well into June and there is no doubt that they inflicted considerable damage to what were effectually sitting targets. In the midst of it all, the Navy coolly continued its vital support task of transporting troops and supplies onto the Islands.

We get some idea what conditions were like for the ships' crews during those weeks from the list of ships lost to enemy action during that time:
