MEMORIAL TO THE BULLEIDS WHO DIED IN THE TWO WORLD WARS

 

 

WORLD WAR 1 - 1914 - 1918

PRIVATE GEORGE ECCLES BULLEID
Private George Eccles Bulleid of the 2nd Battalion, Canadian Infantry (Eastern Ontario Regiment). Son of John and Lena Bulleid, of 3, Sutherland Rd., Belvedere, Kent. Born in 1899. Enlisted at the age of 15 and died on 22 April 1915. Remembered on the Memorial at Ypres (the Menin Gate).
HAROLD JOSEPH EWART BULLEID

Harold Joseph Ewart Bulleid, Wireless Telegraph Operator of the Royal Engineers. Son of Lucas Henry and Alice Bulleid, of 24, Ebrington St., Plymouth. Born 1898 and died on 12 January 1917, aged 19.

PRIVATE REGINALD JOHN BULLEID
Private Reginald John Bulleid of ‘D’ Company, 1st/5th Battalion, Devonshire Regiment. Son of Robert John and Frances Emily Bulleid, of 68, Carlton Rd., Torquay. Born 1897 and died on 20 June 1918 aged 20. Buried in Bienvillers Military Cemetery. His father was a Justice of the Peace and Mayor of Torquay from 1941 to 1942.
SERGEANT WILLIAM ALBERT BULLEID M.M
Sgt. William Albert Bullied of the 3rd Battalion, Canadian Infantry (Central Ontario Regiment). Son of George A. and Sarah Bullied, of Coe Hill, Ontario. Died on 3 May 1917 aged 27. Remembered on the Vimy Memorial. Awarded the Military Medal.

 

WORLD WAR 2 - 1939 - 1945

CORPORAL CECIL RAYMOND BULLIED
Cpl. Cecil Raymond Bullied, Canadian, of the Hastings and Prince Edward Regiment, R.C.I.C. Son of Thomas and Ruth Bullied of Ontario, Canada. Born 1915 and died 23 December 1943 in Italy. Buried in the Moro River Canadian War Cemetery.
CORPORAL WILLIAM BULLIED
Cpl. William Bullied of the 9th Battalion, Cameronians (Scottish Rifles). Son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Bullied, of Barnstaple, Devon. Died on 26 September 1944 aged 28. Buried in the Mierlo War Cemetery.
LANCE SERGEANT LEONARD GEORGE HENRY BULLEID
Lance Sgt. Leonard George Henry Bulleid of the Middlesex Regiment, 2nd Battalion, Princess Louise's Kensington Regiment. Son of George A. and Rosa Bulleid; husband of Kathleen L. Bulleid, of East Dulwich, London. Born 1920 and died on 3 July 1944 aged 24. Buried in the Bayeux War Cemetery
