69039 Major John Henry Cecil Bassett, attached to the 3rd Anti-Tank Regiment, the Royal Indian Artillery. Son of Lieut -Col John Bassett and his wife Naomi of Northam, Devon.  Born in Southampton in the December Quarter of 1916. Died 24 April 1943 aged 26.

5626847 Lance Corporal Charles Edwin Hook of the 2nd/7th Battalion, the Surrey Regiment. Son of  Edwin and Elsie Hook of Northam. Born in Lambeth, London in 1920. Died 11 May 1943 aged 23.
B.C.JAMES
Lt-Col. Boucher Charlewood James of the Devonshire Regiment.  Husband of Mary James (formerly Mary Clemson of Stevenstone). Born in 1883. Died in Devon in the September Quarter of 1930 aged 47.
R.LIGHT
1757 Pupil Pilot Roger Light of the South African Air Force. Son of William and Margaret Light of Abbotsham. Born in Barnstaple in 1919. Died 20 November 1941 aged 22 in a flying accident in South Africa.
K.MANNING
5960477 Corporal Kenneth Alfred James Manning of the 4th Battalion, the Dorset Regiment. Son of Edward and Florence Manning; husband of Phyllis Manning of King's Lynn. Born in Warwick 3 April 1924. Died 27 November 1944 aged 21.

EC /90  Temporary Captain/ 2nd Lieutenant of the British Army, attached to the  6th Rajputana Rifles  and the 4th Battalion, the Indian Army. Son of Dr and Mrs Ernest Markham Lee of Westward Ho!. Born in Derbyshire in 1916. Died 17 February 1944 aged 28.

2382800 Signalman John Patrick Moseley of the Royal Corps of Signals. Son of Lichfield and Lilian Moseley of Torrington. Born in Birkenhead in the June Quarter of 1923 aged 18. Buried in Abbotsham churchyard.
J.R.STRICK
101467 Captain John Richard Strick of the 1st Battalion, the London Irish Rifles. Son of the late Major General John Arkwright Strickland C.B; D.S.O and his wife Iris Strick of Abbotsham. Born in Belper 16 October 1918. Died 18 February 1944 aged 25.
