5620037 Gunner Stanley John Alderman of the 4th Maritime Regiment, the Royal Artillery. Son of Ernest and Ethel Alderman of Bampton. Born in Bampton in the March Quarter of 1922. Died 9 May 1941 aged 19. Commemorated on the Plymouth Naval Memorial.

RAF but not yet confirmed. Is this Victor Lewis Clarke Brown, Aircraftman 2nd Class who died as a Japanese POW 29 November 1943 aged 23?

E.KENNARD
Lieut-Commander Edward Walter Kennard of the Royal Navy, HMS Odyssey. Son of Captain Malcolm Alfred Kennard and Mrs Florence Kennard of Bampton. Place of birth not yet confirmed. Died 3 May 1945 aged 33 while in temporary command of LCT 1238 which was mined in the Irrawaddy River, in Burma and lost with all crew.
