J.H.BARROW 166301 Sapper John Henry Barrow of the 79th Field Company, the Royal Engineers. Son of the late John Henry Barrow; husband of Hetty Barrow of Bratton Fleming. Born  in Bratton Fleming in 1889. Died 21 March 1918 aged 29.
W.S. BATSON Sub Lieutenant William Stewart Batson of the Royal Navy, HMS Marmion. Son of Herbert and Ella Batson. Born in Ide, 23 January 1897. Died 21 October 1917 when his ship was sunk in a collision in the North Sea.

J.B.RICHARDS 425241  Private James Britton Richards of the 1st Canadian Mounted Rifles. Son of Mrs Elizabeth Sholbrook of Manitoba. Born in Shirwell in 1889.  Died 29 October 1917 aged 27.
A.SKINNER 345512 Corporal Alexander Skinner of the 16th Battalion (the Royal North Devon Hussars), of the Devonshire Regiment. Son of Thomas Skinner. Born at East Down in 1894. Died 3 December 1917 aged 23.
H.WEBBER 4095 Private Havelock Webber of the 3rd/6th Battalion, the Devonshire Regiment. Grandson of George and Grace Webber. Born in Bratton Fleming in 1878. Died 7 May 1916 aged 38.
