F.C.HARRY
Temp. Sub-Lieut. Francis C. Harry of the RNVR; Royal Naval Division, Hawke Battalion. Son of the Rev. Lewis Harry and his wife Catherine. Born in Kidderminster in 1899. Died 8 October 1918 aged 19.
H. G. TURNER
Z 7527 Able Seaman Herbert Turner of the RNVR; Royal Naval Division, Anson Battalion. Son of Henry and Annie of Greenswood. Born  25 July 1896.  Died 20 February 1918.
V. G. VINCENT

Error in the initials - should be V. J. Vincent:

A 5101 Seaman Victor J. Vincent of the RNR; serving on HMS Alert. His parents died and other young members of their family were adopted. Born in Malta 8 June 1897. Died 31 July 1917 through illness while a Turkish POW aged 20. Was he at the Seamen's Orphanage?

B 5623 (his RFR number) Leading Seaman of the RNFR; serving on SS Hazelwood. Son of James and Agnes Cox of Brixham.  Born in Brixham 9 February 1884.  Died 18 October 1917 aged 33.
H. B. MUMMERY
B 1155 (his RFR number) Leading Seaman Henry Bubeer Mummery of the RNFR; serving on HMS Highflyer. Husband of Elizabeth Jane Mummery of Brixham.  Born in Brixham in 1876. Died 1 March 1917 aged 41. Buried in Brixham Churchyard.

Panel 1 Column 3 - ROYAL MARINE LIGHT INFANTRY

Error in the initials - should be J. J. Youatt.  No F. Youatt appears on any Royal Marine listing.

PLY 2269 Sergeant James Jackson Youatt of the Plymouth Division. Indications are that he had been an orphan at the Brixham Naval orphanage and that when his final contract with the Marines had expired, he returned there as an instructor/caretaker. No information about his parents yet. There is evidence that he married but his wife has not yet been identified. Born in East Stonehouse in the December Quarter of 1866. Died 13 April 1915 aged 48.

J. PETERS
Shipwright John Peters of HM Dockyard, Devonport. Husband of Susanna Peters. Born in Brixham in 1859. Died in December 1917 aged 58.

Able Seaman Charles Adams of the Mercantile Marine. of SS Yola (Liverpool) Son of Beatrice and the late Henry Adams. Born in Brixham in the March Quarter of 1896.  Died 28 January 1917 aged 20.
S. H. BELL
First mate Samuel Howard Bell of the .Mercantile Marine, SS Treverbyn (St. Ives). Son of Samuel and Sarah Bell; husband of Mary Bell of Furzeham. Born in Brixham in 1889. Died 3 September 1917 aged 32.
F. BLAKE
Frank Blake Boatswain of the  Mercantile Marine, SS Antonio. Son of John and Lydia Blake. Born in Brixham in the December Quarter of 1893. Died 7 March 1917 aged 23.
J. BURMAN
John Burman Master of the .Mercantile Marine ,SS Antonio. Son of the late William and Mary Burman; husband of the late Florence Burman. Born in Brixham in 1864.  Died 7 March 1917 aged 53.
S. J. COMPTON
Samuel Gempston  of the Mercantile Marine, Master of the ketch Annie. Son of Joseph and Elizabeth Gempton.  Born in Brixham in 1859. Died 4 January 1918 aged 59.
J.L.B.HOARE
No information yet about his ship or his death. John Lidstone Hoare  was the son of Samuel and Mary Hoare. Born in Brixham in 1900. His death date is not yet known.
H.C.KING
Henry Charles King of the Mercantile Marine, 2nd Mate SS Boynton. Husband of Susan King of Brixham. Born in Brixham in 1879. Died 24 September 1917 aged 42.
S. LEWIS
Samuel Lewis of the Mercantile Marine, Master of SS Boscastle. Son of William and Susan of Brixham; husband of Matilda Lewis of Cardiff. Born in the Kingsbridge in the March Quarter of 1874. Died 7 April 1918 aged 44.
H. C. C NORRIS
Apprentice Henry Charles Cumming of the Mercantile Marine, SS Ventmoor (London). Son of Joseph and Annie Norris. Born in Brixham in the June Quarter of 1898. Died 14 February 1918 aged  20.
C.OATWAY
His wartime career is not yet confirmed. Charles Oatway was the son of Charles and Elizabeth Oatway. Born in Swansea 20 July 1896. Death date not yet known.
P. PUTT
Poole Putt, Master of the Mercantile Marine; SS Queen. Son of Mary Ann and William Poole Putt of New Road, Brixham. Born in Brixham in the September Quarter of 1885. Died 28 June 1918.
W. D. WHEATON
William Drew Wheaton of the Mercantile Marine, Chief Engineer SS Glaucus (Liverpool) Husband of Amy Wheaton of Birkenhead. Born in Brixham in the March Quarter of 1892. Died 3 June 1918 aged 39.
S. J. WYATT
Stafford John Wyatt Seaman of the Mercantile Marine, SS Boscastle (West Hartlepool). Son of John and Ann of Burton Street, Brixham. Born in Brixham in the March Quarter of 1892. Died 7 April 1918 aged 18.

Deck hand George Clatworthy of the Steam trawler Dominican (Grimsby) Parents not yet identified. Born in Brixham in 1861. Reported missing 3 November 1915 aged 54.
R. CRANG
Richard Crang, 3rd Hand of the trawler Albion (Brixham) Husband of Phoebe Crang. Born in Brixham in the September Quarter of 1867. Died 30 September 1915 aged 48.
J. PARNELL

Information kindly supplied by family member Graham Parnell:

Jasper Collier Parnell. 2nd Hand  of the Trawler Albion (Brixham) Son of George and Elizabeth Parnell; husband of Jane Parnell of Church Street, Brixham. Born in Brixham in March, 1856.  Died 30 September 1915 aged 59. He died alongside James Summers and Richard Crang when they were blown up by a mine while fishing off Start Point.

William Rackley, Mate of the ketch Friendship. Son of John and Elizabeth Rackley. Born in Brixham in 1860. Died 13 February 1917 aged 57.
J. SUMMERS
James Summers, Skipper of the Trawler Albion (Brixham). Husband of Harriet Summers. Born in Brixham in 1866. Died 30 September 1915 aged 49.
A. H. TUCKER
