M.A.CUDD
ACW 2 Mona Ann Cudd of the W.A.A.F. Son of John and Maud Cudd of Chivelstone. Born in Chivelstone in 1910. Died in the September Quarter of 1940 aged 30. Her first job was as a nursemaid and she worked abroad for British families. She came home in September 1939 and joined the W.A.A.F immediately. Her death was due to illness.
G.H.JARVIS
D/J 80031 Chief Petty Officer George Harold Jarvis of the Royal Navy, HMS Hecla. Son of Mr and Mrs G.H. Jarvis; husband of Aletha Jarvis of Hove. Born in Chivelstone  3 May 1902. Died 12 November 1942 aged 40.
W.T.TABB
D/KX Petty Officer Stoker William Thomas Tabb of the Royal Navy, HMS Glorious. Son of Thomas and Ann Tabb; husband of Rita Tabb of Watcombe, Devon.  Born in Chivelstone 9 November 1908. In a Japanese POW Camp between 1940 and 1942. Died 13 February 1942 aged 33.
E.G.WOOD
D/KX 91590 Stoker 1st Class Ernest George Wood of the Royal Navy, HMS Glorious. Son of Mr and Mrs W.J.Wood of East Prawle. Born in Devonport in the June Quarter of 1919. Died 8 June 1940 aged 21.
D.W.J.STANDFAST
David John Wesley Standfast, a child, of 7 Prawle Point, Chivelstone. Son of Montague John Wesley Standfast of the Royal Navy. Born in Portsmouth in the March Quarter of 1933. Died 2 January 1945 in Kingsbridge Hospital aged 10, when a little row of cliff top cottages was bombed by a stray plane
