J 23774 Ordinary Seaman Harold V.  Clarke of  the  RNVR,   HMS Monmouth. Son of Robert and Edith Clarke. Born in Axminster in 1897. Died, aged 17,  1 November 1914 at the battle of Coronel when his ship was lost.

308347 Petty Officer Stoker William John Harner of the Royal Navy, HMS Falmouth. Husband of Bessie Harner of East Street, Colyton. Born in Beer 12 July 1886. Died 20 August 1916 aged 30.
H.MOORE
KX 244 Able Seaman Harry Moore of the Royal Navy. Served for short periods on various ships, the last of which was HMS Ajax for 3 weeks in 1914. Sent ashore to Vivid I (Plymouth Naval Hospital) and discharged from there, 8 May 1915. Died in hospital in the December Quarter of 1918 aged 25. Believed to be the son of Harry Clement Moore of Colyton.
