H. MALLETT
390968 Corporal Horace Mallett of the 2nd/9th Battalion, the London Regiment (Queen Victoria's Rifles). Son of Henry and Emily Mallett of the Mill at Downes, Crediton. Born in Crediton in the March Quarter of 1889. Missing, presumed killed 26 September 1917 aged 28.
W. MANN
Believed to be William Mann, son of John Mann who had a drapery business in Crediton. Military information not yet confirmed.
E. MOGRIDGE
R/20234 Rifleman Ernest Henry Mogridge of the 16th Battalion, King's Royal Rifle Corps, formerly of the Gloucestershire Regiment. Son of Henry and Emma Mogridge of 18 Bowden Hill, Crediton. Born in Crediton in the September Quarter of 1891. Died 23 August 1916 aged 25.
F. MONTAGUE
Lieutenant Felix David Montague of the 2nd Battalion, the Lincolnshire Regiment. Son of Leopold and Amy Montague of Penton, Crediton; brother of Paul Montague (see below). (His father was a Lieutenant Colonel). Born in Crediton in the June Quarter of 1894. Died 10 March 1915 aged 20.
P. MONTAGUE
Lieutenant Paul Denys Montague of the Royal Flying Corps. Son of Leopold and Amy Montague of Penton, Crediton; brother of Felix Montague (see above). (His father was a Lieutenant Colonel). Born in Crediton in the March Quarter of 1890. Died 29 October 1917 aged 27.
A. MORTIMORE
2512 Private Archibald Mortimore of the 1st/6th Battalion, the Devonshire Regiment. Son of Samuel Mortimore of 5 Queens Place, East Street, Crediton and the late Elizabeth  Mortimore (née Luxton). Born in Crediton in the September Quarter of 1893. Died 14 August 1916 aged 23.
F. NARRACOTT
15576 Private Frederick John Narracott of the 2nd Battalion, the Devonshire Regiment. Husband of Elizabeth S Narracott of 12 Oxford Terrace, Mill Street, Crediton. Born in Stoke Gabriel in the December Quarter of 1883.  Died 31 October 1916 aged 32.
H. NEIASS
218280 Petty Officer Henry Cowling Neiass of the Royal Navy, HMS Defiance. Son of the late Mr & Mrs Edwin Neiass of Teignmouth; husband of Edith Neiass of Hope Cottage, Colyford Road, Seaton but formerly of Crediton. Died at home as a result of War Service 12 December 1917 aged 31. Also commemorated on Teignmouth War Memorial.

C. ORGAN
2nd Lieutenant Harold Charles of the 4th Battalion, the  Gloucestershire Regiment. Son of Charles H & Laura Organ of 25 Brunswick Square, Gloucester; husband of Eleanor Maud Organ of Beckford, Worcester Rd, Malvern Link, Worcs. He was a  F.R.C.O. and at one time Deputy Organist at Gloucester Cathedral and organist of Crediton (Holy Cross) Church. Born in Gloucester in the March Quarter of 1889.  Died 9 October 1917 aged 28.
