A friend of Gwilym's, Clifford Gill, who also served in the RAF, spotted several errors in the original plaque. It took him months, if not years, to get the monument corrected and he ended up having to pay for it himself. It's worth getting out a magnifying glass to see just how incorrect the original entry was!
