204611 Able Seaman Charles Henry Farr of the Royal Navy, HMS Majestic. Son of Henry and Mary Ann Farr. Born in 1883. Died 27 May 1915 when his ship was lost.

2997 Trumpeter Reginald Arthur Farr of "A" Battery, 228th Brigade, the Royal Field Artillery. Son of Walter and Matilda Farr of Littleham, Exmouth. Born in East Budleigh in 1895. Died 26 September 1916 aged 21.

11563 Private Atwell James Farrant of the 109th battalion, the Devonshire Regiment. Son of William and Ann Farrant. Born in East Budleigh in the March Quarter of 1883.

172648 Petty Officer (William) John Alfred Farrant of the Royal Navy, HMS Thunderer. Husband of Gertrude Farrant of Devonport. Born in East Budleigh 12 October 1877. Died 5 February 1915 aged 38.

Lieut-Col. Beresford Gibbs, Commanding Officer  of the 3rd Battalion , the Worcestershire Regiment. Son of the Rev. W and Mrs . K. Beresford; brother of Edward (See below). Born in Abingdon, Bucks in 1881; educated at Newton College. Died 3 September 1916 aged 35.

Chaplain  (4th Class) Edward Reginald Gibbs of the Royal Army Chaplain's Department; attached to the 1st Battalion, the Grenadier Guards. Son of the Rev. W Beresford Gibbs(Rector of Clyst St. George) and Mrs . K. Gibbs; brother of Beresford  (See above).  Born in Hagley, Worcestershire in 1885. Died near Arras 29 March 1918 aged 32.

PLY/3913 Private William Harding of the Royal Marines Light Infantry. Son of William and Olive Harding; husband of Louisa Harding of Brook Cottage, East Budleigh. Born in East Budleigh in 1868. Died 10 November 1917 aged 49. Buried in East Budleigh Chiurchyard.

46791 Corporal William Henry Hart of the 55th Field Company, the Royal Engineers. Son of Eli and Frances Hart. Born in Colaton Raleigh in 1895 but lived at Bicton. Died 28 August 1918 aged 23.

46490 Private John Hill of the 11th Battalion, the Leicestershire Regiment;  formerly 179310, the Royal Engineers. Son of John and Annie Hill. Born in Woodbury in 1879. Died 26 September 1917 aged 38.

1386 Corporal (Samuel) Tolman  Lawrence of the Royal 1st Devon Yeomanry. Son of Thomas and Susan Lawrence, Born in Honiton in the September Quarter of 1886. Died at home 20 October 1918 aged 32. Buried in East Budleigh Churchyard.

153742 Sapper Bernard W. G. Marish of the Corps of Royal Engineers. Son of Robert and Sarah Marish. Born in East Budleigh in 1891. Died 76 April 1916 aged 25.

14409 Private Arthur Palmer of the 8th Battalion, tyhe Devonshire Regiment. Son of Alfred and Mary Jane Palmer; husband of Jeanette Palmer; brother of William (see below). Born in East Budleigh in 1874. Died 25 September 1915 aged 44.

2/1548 Sergt. Tristram Copplestone Palmer of the New Zealand Field Artillery. Son of John and Mary Palmer; brother of J. W. Palmer of Budleigh Salterton. Born in East Budleigh in 1888. Died 26 August 1918 aged  30.

28200 Private William John Palmer of the 6th Battalion, the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry.; formerly 130446 of the Royal Field Artillery.  Son of Alfred and Mary Jane Palmer; brother of Arthur (see above). Born in East Budleigh in 1880. Died 23 August 1917 aged 37.

2nd Lieut. John Pepys of the King's Own (Yorkshire) Light Infantry. Son of Arthur and Margaret Pepys, Born in East Budleigh in 1890. Died 23 August 1914 aged 24.

2nd Lieut. Francis Pepys of the 2nd Battalion, the Ox and Bucks Light Infantry.  Sopn of Arthur and margaret Pepys of Knowle House; brother of Kohn (see above). Born in East Budleigh in 1892. Died 12 November 1914 aged 23. Awarded the DSO.

2/734 Gunner Stephen John Prew of the New Zealand Field Artillery. Son of William and Harriet. Born in Upton Pyne in the March Quarter of 1893. Died 15 September 1915 aged 22.

DM2/162524 Corporal George Sanders of the Royal Army Service Corps. Son of George and Mary Sanders. Born in Devonport in 1895 but lived in East Budleigh. Died 4 November 1918 aged 23.
