Private Theodore Wallace Hooley Scettrino of the Hampshire Regiment. Son of Theodore and Dorothea Ruth Scettrino (née Hooley) of 15 Ladysmith Road, Exeter. Born in Templecombe in the September Quarter of 1899. Died 2 April 1918 aged 18. Buried in Exeter Higher Cemetery 8 April 1918.

2595 Rifleman William Francis Shapland of the 9th Battalion, the London Regiment (Queen Victoria's Rifles). Son of William Francis and Alice Shapland (formerly of Wellington, New Zealand) of Colebrooke, Coppletstone nr. Crediton. Born in Wellington NZ in 1891. Died 22 November 1916 aged 25. Buried in Exeter Higher Cemetery

L/11415 Private George Smith of the 4th Battalion, the Royal Fusiliers. Died 9 January 1918 aged 49. Buried in Exeter Higher Cemetery 11 January 1918.

Son of William and Sarah Smith; husband of Henrietta G Smith of Oak Bridge, Sidbury, nr. Sidmouth. Born in Bratton Clovelly in the December Quarter of 1880. Died 20 January 1916 aged 35. Buried in Exeter Higher Cemetery 24 January 1916.

42461 (formerly 154303) Private Frederick John Spettigue of the 9th Battalion, the Yorkshire Regiment, attached to the Royal Field Artillery. Son of Jessie Spettigue (née Oades) of Paris Street, Exeter,  and the late Edmund Spettigue. Born in Exeter in the March Quarter of 1898. Died 21 September 1917 aged 19. Buried in Exeter Higher Cemetery

978 Private Percy Reginald Sprague of the 1st/7th (Cyclist) Battalion, the Devonshire Regiment. Son of Frederick and Hannah Maria Sprague (née Reed) of 2 Bishops Buildings, Summerland Street, Exeter. Born in Exeter in the December Quarter of 1896. Died 13 August 1915 aged 19. Buried in Exeter Higher Cemetery.

3982 Stoker George Stevenson of the Royal Australian Navy, HMAS Melbourne. Born in Australia in 1896. Died 21 May 1916 aged 24. Buried in Exeter Higher Cemetery 24 May 1918.
G STOKER
Major George Stoker of the Royal Army Medical Corps. A highly qualified and much decorated Irish Throat Specialist who pioneered the use of oxygen in the treatment of lung diseases. Son of Abraham and Charlotte Stoker; husband of Agnes Stoker. Born in Ireland in 1856. Served in the Turko-Russian and Zulu Wars. Died 23 March 1920 aged 64. Buried in Exeter Higher Cemetery 27 March 1920.

L/4554 Officer's Steward 3rd Class James Stone of the Royal Navy, HMS Vivid. Son of Fanny Stone and the late George Stone. Born in Exeter in the June Quarter of 1896. Died 29 May 1916 aged 20. Buried in Exeter Higher Cemetery 3 June 1916.

3384 Lance Corporal Harold Street of the 7th (Queen's Own) Hussars. Son of Henry Charles and Ann Street of 18 King William Terrace, Exeter. Born in Exeter in the September Quarter of 1888. Died 2 February 1919 aged 30. Buried in Exeter Higher Cemetery 6 February 1918.

2nd Lieutenant Ronald John William Taylor of the RAF (Cranwell Station). Son of Frank and Gertrude Taylor of 53 Pennsylvania Road, Exeter. Born in Exeter in the December Quarter of 1899. Died 9 May 1918 aged 18. Buried in Exeter Higher Cemetery 13 May 1918.

2026 Driver William Thomas of the Royal Army Medical Corps. Died 31 December 1916 aged 22. Buried in Exeter Higher Cemetery 2 January 1917.

Son of William and Selina Vanstone; husband of Jessie Vanstone (née Russell) of 7 Gatty's Court, Sidwell Street, Exeter. Born in Crediton in the September Quarter of 1879. Died 9 April 1916 aged 36.  Buried in Exeter Higher Cemetery 11 April 1916.
A VICKERY
