24038 Private Frederick Dadds of the 13th Battalion, the Gloucestershire Regiment. Son of George and Emma Dadds. Born in Ilfracombe in 1896. Died in hospital in France 8 July 1918 aged 22.

68791 Private Frederick Percy Dunn of the 2nd Battalion, the Devonshire Regiment. Son of Walter and Mary Ann Dunn.  Born in High Bickington in the March Quarter of 1899. Died 24 April 1918 aged 19.
H. GUARD
2033 Lance Corporal Henry ("Harry") Guard of the 4th Battalion, the Suffolk Regiment. Son of William Guard and the late Annie Guard. Registered as William Henry Guard and born in Barnstaple in the September Quarter of 1884. Died 12 March 1915 aged 31.
J. HANCOCK
Believed to be 15142 Private ("John") Courtney Hancock of the 2nd Battalion, the Devonshire Regiment. Grandson of George and Susan Hancock of Torrington. Born in Torrington in 1895. Died 1 July 1916 aged 21.
C. NEWBERY
Wireless Operator Cecil Frank Newbery of the Mercantile Marine, SS Mavisbrook. Son of William Newbery of High Bickington and the late Alice Newbery. Born in 1901. Died 17 May 1918 aged 17 when his ship was sunk. SS Mavisbrook was a collier which had been hired by the admiralty for mining duties; she was sunk in the Mediterranean by UB 50.

30340 Private James Parker of the 1st Battalion, the Devonshire Regiment; formerly with the North Devon Hussars.  Son of Elias and Eva Parker of Burriott Cottage, High Bickington. Born in High Bickington in 1897. Died 23 April 1917 aged 20.

44532 Private George William Parkhouse of the 2nd/4th battalion, the Royal Berkshire regiment; formerly 37429 of the Wiltshire Regiment. Son of Samuel and Mary Parkhouse of Home Well Cottage, High Bickington. Born in High Bickington in 1899. Died 23 April 1918 aged 19.

28991 Private William Henry Pickard. Husband of Martha Pickard. Born in St Giles in the Wood in 1878. Died 2 January 1917 aged 39
H. TURNER
7835 Corporal Harry Turner of the 1st Battalion, the Devonshire Regiment. Son of James and Mary Ann Turner of High Bickington. Born in High Bickington in 1888. Died 14 January 1915 aged 27.

S. WONNACOTT.

32720 Private Stanley Albert Wonnacott of the 5th Battalion, the Ox and Bucks Light Infantry. Son of Thomas and Mary Wonnacott of High Bickington. Born in Parkham in 1893. Died 22 December 1917 aged 24.
