28968 Private William James Baston of the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry; formerly 24871 of the Devonshire Regiment.  Son of George and Clara Baston. Born in Colyton in the June Quarter of 1883. Died 30 January 1917 aged 34.
JOHN COAKER
20652 Private John Coaker of the 9th Battalion, the Devonshire Regiment. Son of George and Elizabeth Ann Coaker. Born in Holne in 1892. Died 6 September 1916 aged 24.
RICHARD DAWSON
Captain Richard Long Dawson of the 3rd Battalion, the Coldstream Guards. Son of the late Hon. Maitland Westude Dawson and Mrs Jane Dawson of Holne Park. Born in London in the September Quarter of 1879. Died 20 November 1914 aged 35. Mentioned in Despatches.
EDWARD DERGES
274449 Private Edward James Derges of the 6th Battalion, the Somerset Light Infantry. Son of John and Mary Derges of Holne; husband of Ellen Derges. Born in Holne in 1887. Died 27 June 1918 aged 32. 
JOHN DUNN
16470 Private  John Dunn of the 1st Battalion, the Devonshire Regiment. Son of Bessie Abbot (previously Dunn) and the late John Dunn. Born in Holne in 1895. Died 25 September 1916 aged 21.
ALFRED GOULD
Temporary Surgeon Alfred Leslie Pearce Gould of the Royal Navy, attached with the rank of  Lieutenant to the 1st Royal Marine Battalion, the Royal Naval Division.  Son of Sir Alfred Pearce Gould and his wife, Florence. Born in Marylebone in 1888. Died 19 May 1918 aged 31.  Killed in France while serving with the 1st Royal Marine Battalion.

M2/ 226709 Private Francis V. Hext of the 648th Company the Army Service Corps. Son of Alfred and Ellen. Born in Holne in 1898. Died 22 November 1917 aged 19.
WALTER MEATHREL
929 Private Walter William Meathrel of the 26th Infantry Battalion, the Australian Army. Son of Walter and Emma Meathrel of Mill Leat, Holne. Born in Holne in the December Quarter of 1878. Died 12 October 1917 aged 30.
WILLIAM MORRIS
8/11563 Private William Morris of the 53rd Battalion, the Devonshire Regiment. Son of Martha Morris and the late William Morris of Swansea.  Born in Swansea in 1895. Died 13 August 1916 aged 21. His connection with Holne is not yet known.
WILLIAM NORTHCOTT
11579 Private William Northcott of the 8th Battalion, the Devonshire regiment. Son of William Way Northcott of Wotton, Holne. Born in Buckfastleigh in 1896. Died 25 September 1915 aged 19. 
GEORGE OSBORN
33522 Private George Henry Osborn of the 11th Battalion, the Border Regiment; formerly 116946 of the Royal Garrison Artillery. Son of James and Charlotte Osborn. Born in Denbury in 1882. Died 11 July 1917 aged 35. 
ARTHUR PEARSE
205697 Private Arthur Pearse of the 8th battalion the Queen's own regiment (Royal West Kents). Son of Alfred and Alice Pearse. (His father was the postmaster).  Born in Holne in 1892. Died 13 September 1918 aged 25.
STANLEY VANSTONE
Lieutenant Stanley Paul Vanstone of the 10th Battalion, the Rifle Brigade. Son of Frederick and Charlotte Vanstone; twin brother of Douglas (see below).. Born in Paignton in 1890. Died 29 October 1915 aged 25.
DOUGLAS VANSTONE
Lieutenant (Charles) Douglas Howard Vanstone of the 15th Battalion, the Rifle Brigade. Son of Frederick and Charlotte Vanstone; twin brother of Stanley (see above). Born in Paignton in 1890.  Died 7 February 1917 aged 27. Buried in Paignton Cemetery.
