5620739 Private William Walter Oliver of the 1st Battalion, the Queens Royal Regiment. Husband of Ida Oliver of St Cyres Road, Honiton. Born in Ludlow in 1921. Died 6 September 1945 aged 24.
E.F.POPE
Lieutenant Edward Frank Pope served in the Royal Navy and in the RAF on Special Operations. His naval rank appears on his gravestone in St Michael's Cemetery so it is used here. His ship was HMS Norfolk. At the times when he served in the RAF he was a Flight Lieutenant. He was the son of Ada Pope of Honiton and was born there in 1915. He was killed aged 25 when he had to ditch his plane 18 January 1940.

5614019 Warrant Officer Class II Henry Charles, Company Sergeant Major of the Devonshire Regiment. Son of Charles and Violet Webber; brother of Ronald (see below) husband of Lilian Webber of Honiton. Born in Honiton in the December Quarter of 1909. Died 10 May 1941 aged 32. Buried in Honiton Cemetery.
