STREET MAP OF ILFRACOMBE c.1892

This undated street plan of IIfracombe began to appear in guide books in the 1890s. The development of Torrs Park began in 1889 and the plan shows part of the new road layout there. However the new walkways on Capstone Hill which were not laid out until 1894 are missing from this plan so it seems reasonable to suggest circa 1892 as its possible date. This is a useful map to use in conjunction with the 1901 Census return.
