6481 Trooper William Henry Anning of the7th Battalion, the  27th Coy, the Devon Imperial Yeomanry.

Son of William and Mary Anning.  Left for SA January 1900 - returned 1902.

C.W.AVERY

4773 Private Charles William Avery of the 1st Battalion, the Royal Irish Fusiliers. 

Son of William and Louise Avery. Born in Kenton in 1879. Returned in 1902.

6483 Sergeant John Henry Beer of the 7th Battalion, the 27th Coy, the Imperial Yeomanry.
F.J.BIDGOOD
4201 Private Frederick John Bidgood of the 16th Battalion, the 10th Lancers.
H.BOWDEN

3943 Private Harry  Bowden of the 1st Battalion, the Welsh Fusiliers. 

He left in 1900 but was severely wounded at Tygerfontein on 7 August 1900 then invalided back  home to Devon.

1912 Trooper John Bricknell of the South African Constabulary. 

Returned home in 1902.

Driver Henry Bulley of the Army Service Corps.

618 Trooper James Coombe of the South African Constabulary. Also served with the Bushveldt Carbineers.

4465 Corporal Thomas John Cossey of the 5th Battalion, the Dragoon Guards. 

Returned in 1902.

W.H.CUMES

5619 Private William Henry Cumes of the 2nd Battalion, the Devonshire Regiment. 

He was a volunteer and was invalided home in 1902.

5619 Private James Howard of the 2nd Battalion, the Coldstream Guards.

Invalided home.

1528 Private James Howard of the Coldstream Guards.
H.J.JAMES

Able Seaman-Gunner Henry John James of the Naval Brigade.

He served on HMS Doris.

E.LEACH
1109 Trooper Edward Leach of the South African Constabulary.

He died of enteric fever at Johannesburg 4 June 1901.

Private James Melhuish of the 2nd Battalion, the Devonshire Regiment.

He was a Reservist who was invalided home.

3841 Private William John West of the 1st Battalion,  the Devonshire Regiment.

Believed to have been wounded at Ladysmith 6 January 1900.

Private George Wilkey of the 2nd Battalion, the Devonshire Regiment.

Son of William and Rebecca Wilkey - born at Powderham in 1884. he was invalided home.
