LEWTRENCHARD'S MEMORIAL TO TWO MEN WHO DIED IN WW2

Julian Baring-Gould ( a son of the Rev. Sabine Baring-Gould) spent most of his life in Borneo, working for the Sarawak Government there. The family erected this memorial to his memory and that of his sons, including the two who died in the Second World War. It is the only Memorial in the church of this war.

88441 Pilot Officer (Pilot) Benjamin Baring-Gould of the RAF VR.  Son of Julian  and Elizabeth Joan Baring-Gould (née Ramsden) of Weymouth, Dorsetshire. Born in 1919. Died 7 February 1941 aged 22.
J J BARING -GOULD
7891674 Trooper Jasper Julian Baring-Gould of the 42nd (23rd Battalion, the London Regiment) Royal Tank Regiment.  Son of Julian  and Elizabeth Joan Baring-Gould (née Ramsden) of Weymouth, Dorsetshire. Born in Lewtrenchard in the December Quarter of 1920. Died 25 November 1941 aged 21.
