Able Seaman Harry Thomas Andrews of the Royal Navy, HMS Tipperary. Son of Mrs E. Andrews of Ilford; husband of Kathleen Andrews of Fairfield, Mary Tavy. Born in 1892. Died 1 June 1916 aged 24 at Jutland.

7769 Private William Thomas Baker of the 1st battalion, the Devonshire Regiment. Husband of Maude Baker of Midlands, Mary Tavy. Born in Crediton in 1889. Died 14 January 1915 aged 26.

345545 Private William Berriball of the 16th Battalion, the Devonshire Regiment. Son of Emma and the late Thomas Berriball of Whitchurch, Tavistock. Born in Whitchurch, Devon in 1886. Died 6 November 1918 aged 33.

89425 Lance Corporal William James Blake Bowhay. Son of William and Louisa Bowhay. Born in Mary Tavy in September 1898. Died 13 April 1918 aged 20.

Private Richard Arthry Cole of the Royal North Devon Hussars - enlisted in 1911. (This unit later became the 16th battalion of the Devonshire Regiment ). Son of Eliza and the late John Cole; husband of Rosina Cole. Born in Mary Tavy in the December Quarter of 1880. Died of wounds in the UK in the June Quarter of 1919 aged 37.
