Rector's Chaplain to HM Forces. Chaplain 4th Class Rev. Gerald J Lestger of the Army Chaplain's Department.  Son of the Rev.E.A and Mrs M.F. Lester of Bishop's Nympton.; husband of Eleanor Lester of Bath. Born in Bishop's Nympton in 1885. Died 16 December 1918 aged 33.

He was Rector of Rackenford.

H. BOUNDY
201871 Private Harry Boundy of the 1st Battalion, the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry. Son of William and Emma Jane Boundy. Born in Exeter in 1894. Died 22 September 1918 aged 24.
D. FOCK
202415 Private David Fock of the 2nd/4th Battalion, the Ox and Bucks Light Infantry. Son of David and Emma Fock of East Cottage, Rackenfortd; husband of Minnie Fock of Boyces Place. Died 10 September 1917 aged 24.
F. GREENSLADE
2848 Lance Corporal Fred Greenslade of the Mounted Milityary Police. Son of Francis and Hannah Greenslade. Born in Tiverton in 1891. Died 29 April 1916 aged 25.
C. NOTT
 2241 Private Charles Nott of the Royal 1st Devon Yeomanry. Son of John and Elizabeth Nott of Worthy, Rackenford.  Born in Rackenford in 1888. Died 16 February 1915. Buried in Rackenford churchyard.

202096 Private Frederick Gilbert Pincombe of the 7th Battalion, the Worcestershire Regiment. Son of William and Sarah Pincombe of Witheridge. Born in Oakford in 1895. Died 4 December 1918 aged 23. Buried in Rackenford churchyard.

8885 Lance Corporal John Francis Roberts of the 2nd Battalion, the Devonshire Regiment. Son of John and Elizaneth Roberts of Blindwell Cottage, Rackenford; brother of Samuel (see below). Born in Rackenford in the June Quarter of 1891. Died 9 September 1916 aged 25.
