G.R.BOLITHO
2nd Lieut. Geoffrey Richard Bolitho of the Royal Flying Corps, 4th Squadron; formerly Devonshire Regiment. Son of Captain Edward Bolitho and his wife Catherine of Heanor, Cornwall. Born in Penzance in 1893. Died 25 October 1916 aged 23.
J.STIRLING
Captain James Stirling of the 3rd Battalion, the Gordon Highlanders; attached to the 1st Battalion, the Scottish Rifles. Son of Brigadier- General J. W. Stirling and Mrs C.M Stirling of Hensleigh House; brother of Colin (see below).  Born in Stirling, Scotland in 1893. Died 9 October 1918 aged 25. Awarded the Military Medal.

Lt-Colonel Colin Robert Hoste Stirling of the Seaforth Highlanders. Son of Brigadier- General J. W. Stirling and Mrs C.M Stirling of Hensleigh House; brother of James (see above). Born in Dublin in the March Quarter of 1894. Died 29 May 1918 aged 24.

15602 Private William Greenaway of the 2nd Battalion, the Devonshire Regiment. Husband of Katie Greenaway of Rockbeare. Died 23 September 1916 aged 35.
F.HAWKINGS
18447 Private Fred Hawkings of the 6th Battalion, the Dorsetshire Regiment; formerly 130355 of the Royal Field Artillery. Son of William Hawkings of Rockbeare Hill. Born in Exeter 23 April 1893. Died 27 August 1918 aged 25.

216145 Gunner William John Marks of "D" Bty, 150th Brigade, the Royal Field Artillery. Son of John and Eliza Marks; husband of Elizabeth Marks of Marsh Green. Born in Clyst St Lawrence in 1890. Died 2 August 1917 aged 27.

1376 Private Frederick John Pike of the Royal Horse and Royal Field Artillery. Son of Frederick and Beatrice Pike. Born in Withycombe, Exmouth in 1897. Died 28 May 1918 aged 21.
B.G.PRATT
398807 Private Bertie Pratt of the 98th Field Coy, the Royal Engineers. Son of Arthur and Hannah Pratt. Born in Exminster in 1896. Died 9 Mary 1919 aged 24.
A.ROSE
20613 Private Albert Rose of the 9th Battalion, the Devonshire Regiment. Son of  Henry and Emma Rose;  brother of Harry (see below). Born in Woodbury in 1879 but lived in Rockbeare.  Died 1 July 1916 aged 37
H.ROSE
27020 Private Harry Rose of the 1st Battalion, the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry. Son of  Henry and Emma Rose;  brother of Albert (see above). Born in Aylesbeare in 1880 but lived in Rockbeare. Died 23 August 1918 aged 38.
A. SELLICK
22124 Private Albert Sellick of the 6th Battalion, the Dorsetshire Regiment. Husband of  Lily Sellick of Broadclyst. Born in Rockbeare in 1887. Died 17 January 1917 aged 30.
F.SNELL
9160 Lance Corporal Frank Snell of the 2nd Battalion, the Devonshire Regiment. Son of the late Amos Snell; husband of Mary Jane Snell of Whimple. Born in Whimple in 1892. Died 6 October 1916 aged 24.
H.A.TAYLOR
Believed to be 55935 Rifleman Henry Abraham Taylor, discharged wounded from the King's Royal Rifle Corps on 8 May 1919, who died in Edmonton London in July 1919. He was the son of Thomas and Elizabeth Taylor and was born in Broadclyst in the December Quarter of 1894 and would have been 25 at the time of his death.
