11848 Private Walter John Turner of the 1st Battalion, the Glucestershire Regiment. Son of William and Ellen Turner of Swimbridge. Born in Swimbridge in 1895. Died 31 January 1915 aged 20.
W. H. SMYTH
Lieutenant William Henry Smyth of the 2nd Battalion, the Worcestershire Regiment. Son of  John Smyth of Swymbridge, (Master Tanner) and his wife Grace Smyth; husband of Dora Smyth of Bexhill, Sussex. Born in Swimbridge in the March Quarter of 1879.  Died 17 April 1918 aged 39.

5617113 Bandsman Arthur Frederick Douglas Cook of the 6th battalion, the Queen's own (Royal West Kent) Regiment; transferred from the Devonshire Regiment according to records. Son of Thomas and Elizabeth Cook (nëe Ley) formerly of Swimbridge. Born in Woolwich in 1917 (his father was a regular soldier stationed there). Died 28 June 1944 aged 27.
J. K. COWARD
EC/11815 Captain John Kenneth Coward of the Indian Army Ordnance Corps. Son of Harry and Katherine Coward of Braunton. Born in Uxbridge in the December Quarter of 1920. Died 28 July 1944 aged 23. He had Indian nationality.

7518973 Private James Wensley Eastmond of 164 Field Ambulance, the Royal Army Medical Corps.  Son of James and Edith Eastmond of Swimbridge. Born in Swimbridge in the September Quarter of 1915. Died 13 November 1942 aged 27.
C. W. HOGG
Flying officer (Air bomber) Capel Wilson Hogg of the RAF VR, 267 Squadron. Son of edward and Stella Hogg. Born in 1925. Died 12 February 1946 aged 21. Commemorated on the memorial in the Taukkyan War Cemetery in Burma (now known as Myanmar)
R. B. McDONALD
14533086 Private Robert Beattie McDonald of the 1st Battalion, the Devonshire Regiment. Family details not known. Born in South Shields in the June Quarter of 1925. Died 11 April 1944 aged 20. Commemorated on the Rangoon Memorial.
