20610 Private Herbert Rowland of the 8th Battalion, the Devonshire Regiment. Adopted son of John and Eliza Rowland of Church Cottage, Thrushelton. Born in Tavistock in 1896. Died 1 July 1916 aged 20.

71996 Private William Henry Down of the Machine Gun Corps Infantry Battalion.; formerly 27329 of the Hampshire regiment. Son of William and Elizabeth Down of Lower Museshill Farm. Born in Thrushelton in 1892. Died 31 January 1917 aged 25.

345692 Acting Corporal Ernest Wood of the 16th Battalion (the Royal North Devon Hussars), the Devonshire regiment. Son of Thomas and Elizabeth Wood of Patchell Farm. Born in North Lew in 1892. Died 3 December 1917 aged 25.
W. MIDDLETON
PLY/1350 (S) Private Wilfred Samuel Middleton of the 2nd Battalion the Royal Marine Light Infantry, the Royal Naval Division.. Son of Simon and Mary Jane Middleton of Lobhill Cottages, Born  9 November 1894. Died 26 October 1917 aged 23. Enlisted 19 January 1916.
