Civilian. Frederick John Stacey Jago of 18 Orchard Road, Hele, Torquay. Son of Frederick and Sarah Jago and husband of Fanny L. Jago (née Foxlow). Born in the March Quarter of 1869 in Newton Abbot. Injured 4 May 1941 at Torquay; died 5 May 1941 at Torbay Hospital aged 72.

Civilian member of the Women's Land Army. Alice Gertrude Jamieson of 37 Alleyn Park, Southall, Middlesex. Daughter of Horace Morgan and Mabelle F. Jamison. Injured 30 May 1943 at Babbacombe Downs; died same day at Torbay Emergency Hospital aged 26.

Civilian - Deputy Controller of the ARP. Frank Kesteven  of Daylesford, St. Matthias Terrace, Ilsham Road, Torquay. Son of Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Kesteven, of Acanthus, St. Marychurch Road; husband of Enid Mary Kesteven. Born in the December Quarter of 1906 in Hunslet. Died 30 May 1943 at the sea front, Torbay Road aged 36. Held an MA degree.

We have since learned that for 2½ years prior to his death, Frank Kesteven was Clerk to the Governors of Torquay Grammar School for Girls.

Civilian. Alice Kingdon (née Clarke) of Henbury Lodge, Bronshill Road, Torquay. Daughter of Elon and Jemima Clarke and wife of Walter Kingdon.  Born in the March Quarter of 1867 in Torquay. Died 29 May 1944 at Henbury Lodge aged 77.

Civilian. Walter Kingdon of Henbury Lodge, Bronshill Road, Torquay. Son of Edwin and Sarah Kingdon. and husband of Alice Kingdon (see above). Born in the December Quarter of 1865 in Ottery St. Mary.  Injured 9 May 1944, at Henbury Lodge; died 4 June 1944 at Exminster Emergency Hospital aged 78.  

Civilian. Morgan Henry Kitts of 3 Warbro Road, Babbacombe. Son of William and Jane Kitts and husband of the late Eleanor Kitts (née Paddon). Born in the March Quarter of 1881 at Torquay. Died 3 August 1942 at 3 Warbro Road aged 61.

Civilian. Madge Lambert of 5 Park Crescent, Torquay. Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Shaw, of 77 Longbrook Street, Exeter. Died 29 May 1944 at 5 Park Crescent aged 58.

Civilian. Joseph Herbert Large of Streatham Grammar School, Mitcham Lane, Streatham, London. Son of Herbert and Jane Large and husband of the  late Sophia Large (née Nichols) . born in the September Quarter of 1865 in Kingsteignton.  Died 13 February 1943 at 28 Rathmore Road, Chelston aged 77.

Child. George Horace Lavers of 13 Empire Road, Torquay.  Son of James Wheeler Lavers and Florence Edith Mabel Lavers.  Injured 30 May 1943 at St. Marychurch Parish Church; died same day at Torbay Emergency Hospital aged 13.

Civilian. Doris Kate Lindop (née Reynolds)  of Blue Hayes, Park Hill Road.   Daughter of Annie, and of the late John Reynolds; wife of Kenneth Lindop (see  below). Born in the March Quarter of 1895 at Cullompton. Died 19 May 1941 at Blue Hayes, Park Hill Road aged 44.

Civilian member of the Auxiliary Fire Service. Kenneth Lindop of Blue Hayes, Park Hill Road. Son of Thomas and Theresa Lindop and husband of Doris Lindop (see above).  Born in the March Quarter of 1885 at Torquay. Died 19 May 1941 at Blue Hayes, Park Hill Road aged 56.

Civilian. Violet Emma Gertrude Lock of 100 Salisbury Avenue, Barton. Widow of Frederick John Lock. Injured 25 April 1942 at 100 Salisbury Avenue; died same day at Torbay Hospital aged 50.

Child. Joan Margaret Loveday of 10 The Downs, Babbacombe. Daughter of Harold Nelson Loveday, of 33 Ivybridge Way, Stonebridge, London. Died 30 May 1943 at St. Marychurch Parish Church aged 13.
