Civilian A.R.P. Ambulance Driver. Josephine MacDonald of The Studio, Barton Hill Road, Torquay.  Daughter of the late Joseph and Maria Penny, of Glasgow and widow of Archibald MacDonald. Died 8 January 1943 at "Clarendon", Barton Hill Road aged 46.

Child. Kathleen MacDonald of 10 The Downs, Babbacombe. Daughter of the late Patrick MacDonald. St. Died 30 May 1943 at Marychurch Parish Church aged 11.
A. J. MARSDEN

Child. Alice Jane Marsden of "Clarendon", Barton Hill Road, Torquay. Daughter of the late Benjamin Marsden (see below). Died 8 January 1943 at Clarendon aged 5.

(Her father was Private Benjamin Marsden of the Pioneer Corps who died while working as forced labour on the notorious Burma/Siam railway while a prisoner of the Japanese. He died 23 July 1943 aged 27. He was the son of Ann Marsden of Sheffield. )

Child. Jean Marsden of Flat 1, "Courtenay", Upper Braddons Hill Road, Torquay. Daughter of John William and Nora Marsden, of  Died 8 January 1943 at "Clarendon," Barton Hill Road aged 13. (See above).
M. H. MARSDEN
Civilian. Mary Helen Marsden of "Clarendon". Barton Hill Road, Torquay. Daughter of the late Benjamin Marsden. Born in Dewsbury in the December Quarter of 1885.  Died 8 January 1943 at Clarendon aged 57.
H. S. MARSHALL*
Civilian. Herbert Stewart Marshall of Courtfield, Petitor Road, St. Mary Church. Son of Thomas and Emily Marshall, of The Larches, Wigan, Lancashire; husband of Marie Marshall (née Cotton) (see below). Born in the September Quarter of 1865 in Wigan. Died 30 May 1943 at Courtfield aged 77.

Civilian. Letitia Marshall of Courtfield, Petitor Road, St. Marychurch. Daughter of Herbert Stewart and Marie Marshall (see above and below) . Died 30 May 1943 at Courtfield aged 41.

Civilian. Marie Marshall of Courtfield, Petitor Road, St. Marychurch. Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Cotton; wife of Herbert Stewart Marshall and mother of Letitia Marshall (see above). Believed to have been born in Russia. Died 30 May 1943 at Courtfield aged 70.

Civilian  Air Raid Warden. Minnie Gladys Martin of 44 Sherwell Valley Road, Chelston. Daughter of George Henry Baker, of the same address, and of the late Minnie Elizabeth Ann Baker; wife of Robert Percy Martin. Born in the June Quarter of 1892 at West Bromwich. Died 4 September 1942 at Rosery Road aged 50.

Civilian. Annie Eliza McAndrew of Bay Court Hotel, Park Place. Daughter of the late Revd. McAndrew. Born in the March Quarter of 1871 in Cardiff.  Died 29 May 1944 at Bay Court Hotel aged 73.
L. C. MORTIMORE
Civilian. Lucy Caroline Mortimore of Walton Lodge, Middle Warberry Road. Born in the December Quarter of 1879 in Torquay. Injured 22 April 1941, at Walton Lodge; died 23 April 1941 at Torbay Hospital aged 61.
H. G. NEWBERY
Civilian. Harold George Newbery of 30 Tor Hill Road, Torquay.  Son of William George and Eleanor Mary Newbery (née Kent) of Broom Cottage, Tadley, Hampshire; husband of Amy Grace Newbery. Born in the June Quarter of 1886 in Reading. Died 4 September 1942 at 30 Tor Hill Road aged 56.
V. V. B. OTTEWELL
Civilian WVS member (This person used the name "Ottewell" but her true name was SCOTT.) Violet Victoria Blanche Scott of Shrublands, St. Margaret's Road, St. Marychurch. Born in the December Quarter of 1880 in Greenwich. Died 30 May 1943 at St. Marychurch Parish Church aged 62.
