From the Reverend Tagg's "The Story of Wembury Church":

All the bells were recast in the spring of 1909 and with the addition of fresh bell metal, converted into a ring of five. The old inscriptions were reproduced on the corresponding new bells and the whole hung with modern fitting  by Aggett, the well-known Chagford firm who acted for Messrs Mears and Stainbank but who are  no longer in business.

In 1948, as a a memorial to parishioners who fell in the Second Great War 1939-45, a sixth bell was cast and hung by Messrs Mears and Stainbank, becoming the Treble.

The ring is tuned to the major scale and now comprises:

DESCRIPTION DIAMETER WEIGHT
TENOR 2 feet, 9 and a half inches 6 cwt 1 qr 11 lbs
FIFTH 2 feet, 6 and three eighth inches 5 cwt 1 qr 20 lbs

THIRD 2 feet, 3 and a half inches 4 cwt 1 qr 15 lbs
