We apologise to everyone who has e-mailed
us in the past few weeks and received no reply. Computer viruses which
come in via e-mail through a server, and then make a return
journey to infect the computers of those on the address list found in
the target computer, can only be dealt with by very severe
measures - the first of which is to stop sending out mail instantly. In
addition, we have installed a new hard drive on one of our computers
plus an up-to-the minute firewall programme that examines our out-going
mail as well as mail coming in. We hope to catch up on our responses
within the next few days.
This hasn't stopped us receiving messages via this website. Roy
Hayter and Maggie Silver both e-mailed us this month with virtually the
same message - which was, please will we do something about organising
our Index now that the Magazine has grown so large. This is definitely
something we need to do so thank you both for drawing it to our
attention. We always knew the "Search" wasn't working very well. However, we have
come up with an idea to try out. In preparation, this month we
have closed down the existing Search facility completely and hope to
have something more user-friendly to show you all by the time the next
Issue comes out.
