HENRY JEFFERY PERKINS
10255 Private Henry Jeffery Perkins of the 8th Battalion, the Devonshire Regiment. Son of Albert Henry and Elizabeth A Perkins of Court Cottage, Buckland-in-the-Moor. Born in Devonport in the December Quarter of 1893. Died (according to the plaque) 24 September 1915; according to the War Graves Commission and the official start date of the Battle of Loos, 25 September 1915 aged 22.

 

On the other side of the church is what appears ( from its dedication) to be a Roll of Honour. It includes the name of Henry Perkins.
