K/3016 Stoker 1st Class Richard Adams, of the RN, HMS Monmouth. Son of the late Richard and Louisa Adams. Born in Combe Martin in the June Quarter of 1889. Died 1 November 1914 aged 25.

9640 Private Sydney George Norman, 22nd Battalion, the Devonshire Regiment. Son of Richard and Elizabeth Norman of 3 Church Street, Combe Martin; brother of Frederick Norman (see below). Born in Combe martin in the March Quarter of 1895. Died 18 December 1914 aged 19.

Died 11 July 1915 aged 25.

Major Thomas Charles of the 185th Coy, the Royal Engineers. Son of Dr Thomas Richardson and his wife Jane Richardson of Park House Combe Martin; Born in Deal, Kent in 1887. Died 4 February 1916 aged 31. Awarded the Military Cross.

10/1783 Private Walter George Crocombe of the Wellington Regiment, the New Zealand Expeditionary Force. Son of Thomas and Elizabeth Crocombe of East Bodley, Parracombe. Born in Parracombe in the March Quarter of 1883. Died 8 August 1915 aged 32. He is also remembered on the CHUNUK BAIR War Memorial at Gallipoli. 
V.J.VINCENT
5101/A Seaman Victor John Vincent of the RNVR, HMS Alert. Son of James and Mary Vincent. Born at Thorncombe, Dorset in the March Quarter of 1881. Died of illness as a Turkish prisoner of war 31 July 1915 aged 34.
