5803 Corporal Eli White of the  1st Battalion, the Royal Berkshire Regiment. Son of James and Hannah Woodman; brother of John and Fred (see below). Born in Plymouth, Stonehouse in 1888, lived in Chiswick, London. Died 10 January 1915 aged 27

10367 Private John Henry Woodman of the 8th Battalion, the Devonshire Regiment. Son of James and Hannah Woodman;  brother of Eli (see above) and Fred (see below). Born in Kilmington in 1893. Died 25 September 1915 aged 22.

2558 Private Lisle Frank Loveridge of the 1st/4th Battalion, the Devonshire Regiment. Son of John and Elizabeth Loveridge. Born in Yarcombe in 1888. Died 3 July 1916 aged 28.

273 Private William Sansom of the 1st/4th Battalion, the Devonshire Regiment. Son of Harry and Sarah Sansom. Born in Kilmington in 1891. Died 19 August 1916 aged

Army Chaplain 4th Class Edward Keightley Botwood, attached to the 4th Battalion, the Devonshire Regiment. Son of William and Sarah Botwood; husband of Gwendoline Botwood of Sandford Hall, Exeter. Born in Ipswich in the June Quarter of 1872. Died 28 July 1916 aged 44.

2559 Private Fred Woodman of the 1st/4th Battalion , the Devonshire Regiment. Son of James and Hannah Woodman; brother of John and Eli (see above). Born in  Kilmington in 1898. Died 3 February 1917 aged 19.

16101 Private Richard Pound of the Coldstream Guards. Son of Joseph and Catherine Pound. Born in Kilmington in 1889. Died 7 May 1918 aged 29.
R.G.WOOD
11998 Private Reginald George Wood of the Coldstream Guards. Son of George and Elizabeth Wood. Born in Colyton in 1877. Died 12 April 1918 aged 41.
R.H.BRIDGES DSO
Lt-Col Roland Harley Bridges of the Royal Army Medical Corps. Son of the late Colonel Charles and Mrs E N Bridges of Kilmington. Born 7 February 1879 in Clevedon. Died 22 August 1918 aged 39. Accidentally drowned while bathing.
C.H.CHOWN
3/10331 Private Charles Harry Chown oft eh 8th Battalion, the Norfolk Regiment.  Husband of Clara Chown.  Born in Somerset in 1878. (not on any census returns). Died at Norwich 4 March 1918  aged 40. Buried in Norwich Cemetery.
G.WRIGHT
290772 Private Gilbert Wright of the 9th Battalion, the Devonshire Regiment. Husband of Florence Wright. Born in Buckerell in 1879. Died 26 October 1917aged 38.
1939 - 1945
A. TROTT
129360 Flying Officer (Navigator) Arthur Trott of the RAF VR, 51 Squadron. Son of William and Nellie Trott of Kilmington. Born in Kilmington in the September Quarter of 1921. Died 13 June 1943 aged 21.
E. N. LOCKWOOD
D/KX 76797 Mechanician 1st Class Eric Norman Lockwood of the Royal Navy, HMS Charybdis. Son of Henry and Beatrice Lockwood. Born in Bradford Yorks, in the March Quarter of 1916. Died 23 October 1943 aged  27. His body was not among those washed ashore in the Channel Islands and given a military funeral by the German Occupants of the islands.
R. J. WILKINSON
1585068 Flight Sergeant Richard John (Reginald Walter as registered) Wilkinson of the RAF VR, 75 Squadron. Son of John and Annie Wilkinson of Kilmington - should this be Walter and Ethel Wilkinson?   Appears to have been born in Kilmington in the June Quarter of 1926 which makes his age at death only 18!  Died 21 July 1944.
