LAPFORD - THE WAR MEMORIAL |

Lapford's War Memorial is situated in a prominent position in front of the church and adjacent to the village street. Made of granite, a simple cross rises from a plinth composed of three layers of stone, the upper layer being square with decorative corners and the lower levels being eight-sided. The facets of the lower level are blank. The memorial was desgined and executed by Herbert Read of St. Sidwell's Art Works, Exeter. |
