This photograph was taken from the moorland road which connects Grenofen with Fullamoor. The white chimneys in the foreground belong to the property known as Highland. STENTAFORD LAND is to be found beyond and to the left with the high ground of Dartmoor in the distance.

It would seem that this ancient and beautiful place marks a point at which the histories of  Studivers, Stedivers, Stettafords, Stuttavers, Stintaffords, Stantifords, Stuttafords, Stentefords, Stedofords, Steadifords, Stedefords, Stedifords, Stidefords, Stottworthies, Stuttworthies, Stantafords, and Stentifords began to diverge, as family members spread throughout Devon and beyond.
