Index for Feniton

The Lych gate at Feniton
This Lych gate at Feniton formed the original war memorial. It carries no names, just the simple words "1914 - 1919 Lest we forget".  It has been supplemented in recent times by a plaque in the church.

"We are an informal group of friends. There is no membership fee to join us, We meet in the Nog Inn, in Feniton, Devon on a regular basis.

In 2008, the Church organised a History Weekend called "The Feniton History Days", This was a very successful event which raised some £4000 towards the church roof fund.

The History Days sparked an interest and in October 2009, Brenda Powell and Christine Gibbins decided to start a History Group for the village, the aim of which is to document the village's  past. Transcripts of the parish registers are now available at this link."
